The region of NC containing the Southern Blueridge Mountains. Notable areas include Rumbling Bald, Looking Glass, Cedar Rock, Whiteside Mtn., Laurel Knob, and other smaller satellite crags. This region is best known for featured granite slab climbing; steep, featured face climbing; and frequent run-outs on easier terrain.
