The Kelowna Boulderfields are a delight to climb in. Drive ten kilometers up a dirt road and you can enjoy it too! South of Kelowna, head up Gillard Forest Road, take a left at 8.8km, drive ~2km more and park at the top of the road on the left or take the road on the left to drive down to the camping/parking area. There's some camping availability at the boulders as it's a BC recreation area, and a couple of pit toilets. Be bear aware and fire safe as the area does have bears and fire danger! The Boulderfields themselves consist of a wide rockfall area that has left behind gneiss boulders of all shapes and sizes. The Okanagan guidebook is an excellent resource to navigate the area.
