Big area with a lot of basalt pillars and solid climbing a mere 2 to 2 and half hours from Seattle. Wide range of sport and trad, great for people just getting into outdoor climbing. Some bouldering, but most people come here for the rope climbs. Right off the highway, easy to access with any car, and free camping with the discover pass makes for a fast and easy weekend trip. Might have to walk a bit to camp if your car is low clearance though. Pit toilets available, but usually out of TP so bring your own. More climbing in the direct sun than not (almost all of Echo Basin), but can still chase the shade on a hot day (Frenchman Coulee and the Feathers depending on time of day). Busiest during shoulder seasons, can get hot in the summer and pretty cold in the winter. If you're coming from Seattle in the winter, good idea to check Snoqualmie pass conditions to see if chains are required to make it over the cascades [Conditions & Restrictions](https://wsdot.com/travel/real-time/mountainpasses/Snoqualmie).
