Moe's Valley is a gem of Utah Bouldering, but Moe's Valley is **at risk of being sold for private development**. The future of Moe's Valley will be decided by the Utah State Institutional Trust Lands Administration. [Use this link to access an Access Fund letter-writing tool and ask them to save Moe's Valley: https://www.accessfund.org/action-alerts/ask-the-state-of-utah-to-save-moes-valley](https://www.accessfund.org/action-alerts/ask-the-state-of-utah-to-save-moes-valley) Moe's is sandstone, so **do not climb for 24-72 hours after rain** depending on severity of rain event and sun exposure of your particular climb. To assess whether or not it is safe to climb dig into the dirt several inches, [the sand should be dry and powdery. If it has any moisture the rock is still wet](https://www.mountainhardwear.com/learn/know-how/rock-climbing/rock-n-rain.html). Please do not litter, and pack out any trash you happen to find! You can search Moe's Valley Parking to find the bouldering area, many of the individual boulders now also show up on Google. Moe's is an incredible area. All who've been hope it is protected for future climbers, so please use your voice to express how valuable this area is. The Southern Utah Climbers Alliance is doing great work on their issue which is primarily documented at [moesvalley.com](https://www.moesvalley.com/) and their Instagram account [@savemoesvalley](https://www.instagram.com/savemoesvalley/) - give them a follow!
