Gun Club, The

The closest and most easily-accessed limestone to Red Rocks Canyon, just north of the Calico range. Expect a crowd if it has rained in the canyon in the last 48 hours. The approach couldn't be easier: navigate to "Cliff Shadows Open Desert Park" on W Alexander Rd just off the 215 beltway. You'll find bathroom facilities and ample parking in either a small paved lot or a larger gravel lot; from the latter the Gun Club's left and right walls are easily located over a shallow wash. Total approach time <10m.
