Southern Nevada has tons of great climbing primarily on sandstone and limestone, though there's also some granite available. If you have questions about climbing here, the Southern Nevada Climbers Coalition (SNCC) and the Desert Rock Sports Las Vegas store are great resources. Do not climb on sandstone after rain!! To see whether it has rained, you can go to wetrockpolice.com/redrock to see the last rain event. If the ground is wet, you should also not climb. After rain, wait 24-72 hours depending on severity of the rain event and sun exposure of your particular climb.
