Red Rocks is easily accessible from Las Vegas and has 1,000+ climbs spanning sport, trad, multipitch and bouldering disciplines. It has sunny weather and stays cool in the winter months - truly a gem! Red Rock sandstone is particularly soft and fragile after it rains. **Do not climb for 24-72 hours after rain**. If the ground is wet, do not climb. If the top layer of dirt is dry, dig into the dirt several inches, [the sand should be dry and powdery.
