** Bouldering at Index

The Index area has a wealth of bouldering and includes everything most easily reached from the left turn off of Highway 2 towards the town of Index. The Zelda and River Boulders are popular, as well as Sasquatch which has gained in popularity in recent years. Zelda and River boulders are accessible for much of the year and can even have their best conditions on a dry winter day. Sasquatch is typically only accessed by crossing the river in July-September. There are many other smaller areas, which also have some quality climbs.
